Yale School of Nursing Field Trip

We all touched the (real human!) lungs, but Shaley was brave and went first. Phil (on the left) told us, “Nursing is a true social justice profession.”

This trip has Caroline seriously considering a career in nursing. Here she checks out a (real human!) foot.

YSN 2.5

Sam and Jenna examined a (you guessed it: real human!) leg bone.

Our host Linda Pellico checked for mastery by having our students read x-rays. The students did a great job and now know how to distinguish between metal, bone, air, and liquid in x-ray images (they can also identify farts and burps).

Thank you to Yale School of Nursing and to Linda and Phil for giving us an amazing experience!
